Straight From the Sea

This game begins in the depths of the ocean putting the player in a position where they have to save the existing animals in the scene in order to progress through the game. In the first scene, you are faced with the wreckage left behind from a sunken ship. You must clear these pieces to clean up the sharks’ home and move to the next scene at a higher water level, a fish tank! In this next scene, the fish need help and can’t survive because of all the utensil litter. Once you clear this level, you are finally back on land where you have to now save the giraffes from going extinct like the dinosaurs. After collecting all the meteors, you are prompted with a leaf and can finally get to the last stage where you follow the maze and get thanked by all the animals you just saved. My project explores the theme of conservationism to highlight issues as small as pollution to ones as big as existential worldly crises like meteor showers that all ultimately lead to population destruction. My main message I hope to get across is for players to finish the game with a better sense of consideration concerning how your actions impact wildlife and other living animals that are often forgotten about.
